The Gateway

Top down capture of a spinner shark creating a gateway into a school of menhaden fish in the Atlantic Ocean, Southampton, NY. This day was one of the clearest days all of Summer 2023. In order to get the best clarity of underwater marine life from my Mavic 3 Pro, I have to follow or sometimes chase the shark and wait for just the right moment when It’s body is super close to the surface. This required a tremendous amount of editing due to hundreds of air bubbles that appear as white dots, each one removed individually.
